Professor Timothy Kolade AKINWAMIDE is a full professor of English Language Education from the Department of Arts and Language Education of Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti. His academic responsibilities include the teaching of Sociolinguistics, Applied Linguistics, Language and Media Arts at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. His research focus spans across: Digitalizing the Pedagogy of Language Education, Second Language Acquisition Strategies and skills and proffering solution to the Misunderstanding Terms in Communication and Study Technology. He has supervised more than 10 Master’s Degree and above 8 PhD Students.

He served as the Teaching Practice Committee Chairman for four years.  He has taught Effective Communication in the Language Classroom. He has served as a facilitator to State, Federal and World Bank projects for Capacity Building on Effective Service Delivery. Professor T. K. Akinwamide obtained five (5) different certificates from Applied Scholastic USA where he won the Best Nigeria Master Trainer Award in Ebonyi State in Applied Scholastic Training Programme. He is an Author, Poet and an Evangelist.
