Dr. Eunice Olayinka ADEPOJU is the current Acting Head, Department of Vocational and Technical Education. The scholar who hailed from Igede-Ekiti in Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government Area of Ekiti State, Nigeria was born on 21st November, 1959.  She attended L.A. Primary School, Igbeti, Oyo State from 1967-1971 and completed her primary education in LEA Primary school, Isanlu-Isin, Kwara State where she passed out in December, 1972. She proceeded to Igbomina Baptist Grammar School in 1973 where she passed out in 1977. In 1978, she was admitted to Okene Teachers College, Kwara State now Kogi State where she obtained her Grade II Certificate in 1980.  Dr. (Mrs.) E.O. Adepoju gained admission into College of Education, Ikere-Ekiti and graduated in 1984. She served her fatherland as a National Youth Service Corp member between 1984 and 1985 in Bauchi State meritoriously. She underwent her First Degree programme in University of Jos and graduated in 1995 with Bachelor Degree in History/Education. She obtained her Master Degree in Library Science from Bayero University, Kano in 2002. The scholar obtained her Ph.D. in Educational Technology at Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, Nigeria in 2015.

Dr. (Mrs.) E.O. Adepoju won the following awards and honours:

  1. Award of Honour by Nigerian Library Association (NLA), Ekiti State Chapter
  2. Awards of Excellence by National Library and Information Science Students Association, Ekiti State Chapter.
  3. Award of Honour in Recognition of outstanding contribution and commitment to the Department by Vocational and Technical Education Students Association, EKSU Chapter.

Dr. (Mrs.) Adepoju served as a Teacher in Federal College of Education Demonstration School, Kano from February 1987 to February 2002 before she joined the services of Ekiti State Civil Service Commission in March 2002. She started her career as a Professional Librarian at Ekiti State Library Board in 2003. She later joined the services of Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti in January 2006 as Librarian II and rose to the position of Principal Librarian in October 2015. Her outstanding performance led to her appointment as the Coordinator of Library and Information Science Programme in the Department of Vocational and Technical Education, Faculty of Education, Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti.  She is an erudite academician in the field of Library and Information Science. She has taught many undergraduates and postgraduate students, supervised undergraduate and Master’s thesis and served as course coordinator and member of various committees in the Faculty of Education

Dr. (Mrs.) E.O. Adepoju is a Chartered Librarian and a member of Library Registration Council of Nigeria (LRCN), Teachers’ Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN), Nigerian Library Association, Nigerian Association of Library and Information Science Educators (NALISE), Reading Association of Nigeria (RAN). She has attended various conferences both within and outside Nigeria.

Dr. (Mrs.) E.O. Adepoju has published more than 38 articles in reputable journals and books. Her leadership and administrative experience covers all aspects of Educational Librarianship. She is happily married and blessed with promising children.
