Professor Matthew Adedeji Ayeni
Dean of the Faculty
Professor Matthew Adedeji Ayeni is a Professor of Philosophy of Education from Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti. He had his B.Ed. degree in Education History, Second Class Upper Division from Ondo State University, Ado-Ekiti, and Masters’ Degree in Philosophy of Education from the same University and a Ph.D in Philosophy of Education from the University of Ado-Ekiti. He teaches Philosophy of Education at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and has published over sixty articles in National and International reputable journals. He has supervised a lot of undergraduate students and postgraduate thesis on Philosophy of Education and other related disciplines. He authored three books and Co-Authored two books; he published articles in conference proceedings. He has participated and has been a paper presenter at various national and international conferences in Nigeria and other countries of the world. He has been external moderators to Emmanuel Alayande College of Education, Oyo, Oyo State, Kwara State College of Education, Ilorin, Kwara State College of Education Oro, Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education, Ijanikin Lagos and Michael Otedola College of Primary Education Epe, Lagos, Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko. He has occupied so many Administrative positions in the University starting from Sub-Dean (Education), Coordinator Sandwich degree programmes, Assistant Director Affiliate Colleges, Director Entrepreneurship Study Centre, Head of Department Arts & Language Education and Currently Dean of the Faculty of Education. He has equally participated in so many Committees, and represented the Faculty in other Faculties. He was a former member of Governing Council of the University.
