Professor Haastrup Timilehin EKUNDAYO was born on the 27^th February 1971 in Ilutitun-osooro, Okitipupa Local Government of Ondo State. He attended Comprehensive High School, Ilutitun-osooro between 1981 and 1986. He graduated from then Ondo State University Ado-Ekiti (Now Ekiti State University) with a second class upper Honours in Education/Economics. He obtained M.Ed Economics of Education from the University of Ibadan in the year 2000. He went back to his Alma Mater (Ekiti State University) where he bagged his Ph.D in Educational Management in 2010. Professor Ekundayo joined the services of Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti as an Assistant Lecturer on the 17^th January, 2005. He rose through the ranks to become a Professor of Educational Management on 1^st October, 2020.

Professor Ekundayo research interest is in the areas of economics of education, educational administration and school effectiveness. He has published extensively in these areas. To date, he has one hundred and twenty-seven (127) publications to his credit. These comprise nine authored books, seventeen chapters in books and one hundred and one (1) articles in reputable journals across the globe. He has attended various local and international conferences.

Professor Ekundayo has passion for academic excellence, this has manifested in his supervision of postgraduate students. He has successfully supervised two Ph. D Students and ten M.Ed students. Moreover, three Ph.D and seven masters students are about to complete their theses under his supervision.

Professor Ekundayo, is no doubt an erudite scholar, a born teacher and an administrator par excellence. He has held various administrative positions in the university. These include, Deputy Director Centre for Distance Learning, Chairman Business Committee of the Faculty of Education and member of various committees in the department, faculty of Education and the University at large.

Professor Ekundayo is a member of various learned societies. These include National Association for Educational Administration and Planning (NAEAP), Higher Education research and Policy Network (HERPNET). He is an embodiment of integrity, decency, hardwork and scholarship.

Professor Ekundayo is happily married to Dr (Mrs.) Stella Kemilola Ekundayo and the marriage is blessed with promising children.
