Dr O. I. Oginni is a Reader in Mathematics Education. He held Nigeria Certificate in Education at Osun State College of Education Ilesa. He had his B.Sc. (Ed) degree in Mathematics Education at Lagos State University, M. Ed. and Ph. D in Mathematics Education all from the Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti.

Dr O.I. Oginni teaches courses in Mathematics Education, Science Education, Curriculum and Instruction at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and has published over seventy articles in both national and international reputable journals to his credit.

Dr O.I. Oginni joined the service of University of Science and Technology, Ifaki-Ekiti in 2010, now merged to be Ekiti State University, as an assistant lecturer and has risen to the cadre of a Reader. He has also supervised hundreds of undergraduates and five masters degree and one Ph.D holder.

Dr. O.I. Oginni has served as the Course Adviser, Examination officer, staff adviser, member of various committees in the Department and faculty. He is an item writer and examiner to one of the examination bodies in Nigeria. He has received an award of best presentation at Clute Institute, International Conference  in Education, Dublin, Republic of Ireland. He is the sitting Head of Department of Science Education.
