Prof. Francis Olu Ibimiluyi is a Counsellor with a special interest in Counselling Psychology. He obtained his Bachelor of Education and Master of Education degrees in Guidance and Counselling from University of Ibadan, Oyo State in 1988 and 1990 respectively. He holds Ph.D (2017) in Guidance and counselling from Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti.

He assumed duty in the Department as an Assistant Lecturer on the 12th of December, 2008. He is currently a Professor in the Department.

He has published many articles both in local and international journals. He is a member of Counselling Association of Nigeria and Teacher’s Registration Council of   Nigeria. He has served the Faculty in various committees. He was appointed as the Acting Head of Department on the 1st of August, 2023 and a substantive Head of      Department on 1^st August, 2024.

He is happily married to Mrs. Elizabeth Funke Ibimiluyi and blessed with godly children.
